Comfortable win for U11’s at home

Today was a good day for this team . All the players individually played very good then combined as a team to put in a excellent game . 2 out of the 8 goals were scored with the left foot by right footed players which is excellent .
The game started slowly with both sides playing well before Joeys took a hold of the game with some lovely crosses been put in by Jack Dune .The first goal was from a Cillian Fagan cross for Jack to head home ,point to note is up to this year this team hasn’t sored a header and so far this year they have scored 3 .The second goal was a left footed screamer from Cian McGuire into the top right corner . Half time 2-0 .
In the second half Joeys used the wide pitch to their advantage and created loads of chances with Alan Bohanna and Cillian combining well to get behind the defence and put in a few crosses .Alan put in a nice cross for Ruairi Scully to finish into the back of the net .
It was then Conor Carew`s chance to shine and slotted home 4 goals ,one a lovely volley from the half way line .Next up Cillian Fagan from the backs to slot home a screamer into the top corner.
We have mentioned a few players there who scored and set up goals ,but we have to mention the rest who didn’t score but put in equally as much good work and play .Cillian Moore working on the left wing for the second half caused the back line headache after headache  by running at them with pace .Josh Donegan in goal who kept another clean sheet .The ever steady Kate Mc Donald holding the back line together.Jacob Traynor who is improving with each game .Matthew Farrell again another player improving with every game .Fiac Brennan a new player who joined this year along with Eoin Townsend who have settled into the team nicely.
Praise must go to Nurney for a brave display who never gave up or dropped their heads.
