Carlow Autumn Walking Festival Family Events This Weekend Sat Oct 1st & Sun Oct 2nd

 

County Carlow Local Sports Partnership has teamed up with Carlow Tourism, Trail Kids and Wildways Adventures to offer two fantastic events aimed at families this weekend.

The cost of participation is only €5 per family.

EVENT 1: Trail Kids

Trails Kids

Date: Saturday October1st 2016

Time: 2pm

Venue: Clashganny Forest (Meeting Point – Town Hall, Borris).

Cost: €5 per family group

Description:  Introduction to the basic skills of trail running in the company of friends and family.

Through the session kids will develop confidence through fun games and activities on the trail.

EVENT 2: Geocache Treasure Hunt

Wildways Adventures

Date: Sunday October 2nd 2016

Time: 2pm

Venue: Oak Park Forest Park (Meeting Point – Playground)

Cost: €5 per family group

Description: Fun-filled treasure hunt and nature activities for all the family.

Goodie bags for all those who take part in the hunt!

FAI Safeguarding 1 Workshop

The FAI are holding their next Safeguarding 1 Child Welfare & Protection Workshop in St Pat’s Boys on Wednesday October 19th 6.30 – 9.30pm.

This a mandatory course for any person working or volunteering with children in football in any capacity. See link below to book..

U6 to U9 Training Commences

U6 to U9 training commences this week on Wednesday evening at 6.30. We hope to see everyone back again and we’d like to welcome new players both girls and boys.

We are always looking for volunteers to get involved, no experience necessary. With these age groups it’s about learning the basics and most of all having fun. If anyone is interested in getting involved, please speak with the coaches on Wednesday.

Upcoming Academy Trials For U13s and 14s.

Academy trials will take place for the 13 and 14 squads in Bagenalstown over the next 2 weekends as follows :

U14s   Sunday 18th at 2.30pm . (Players born 2003 )

U13s  Sunday 18th & 25th at 12.30pm. (Players born 2004)

All players that qualify by year of birth are welcome to attend.

Juvenile Season Kicks Off This Weekend

Joey’s juvenile season kicks off this weekend with matches for the U12s, 15s and 16s. We wish them and all other teams as they start, the very best of luck. Its important to get all players registered as soon as possible, forms can be downloaded from this site as players cannot play if not registered.
