Away to New Oak Joeys U13’s were always going to find this a tough match. Despite this Joeys were well up for the game and had a couple of chances to score in the first half but couldn’t convert. However New Oak took their chances and scored 3 before the break. The second half was similar to the first with Joeys conceding another 3 despite a strong performance by the defense. Overall there was not six goals between these teams. Best for St Joseph’s Joe Walton, Cian Shannon, Sam Byrne, Jonah Dunne and Jack Murphy.

so during an counter attack the ball landed at the feet of the
Nurney forward who struck a great shot across the goalie from
the right hand side into the corner of the net to make the score
1..1.St Josephs came back strongly and created alot of chances
and took the lead again just before half time a free kick from
Kian Dooley cause problems for the Nurney goalie and Patrick
Regan was on hand to tap the ball home leaving the score at H/T
2..1 . The second half was end to end and Nurney Villa drew
level when their best player on the day scored to make the

Best game of the season for St Josephs :
From the off St Joseph’s took the game to Crettyard in what was to be a very entertaining game of football for both sides. It was Crettyard’s first appearance in Joeys and they defended well in the first half despite a number of attacks and goal chances by the home team to leave it 0-0 at the break. Again Joeys started the second half strong and a great pass from Daniel Giedraitis found Ryan Cotter who converted and opened the scoring. Joeys scored a second when keeper Evan McGuire’s kickout picked out Daniel Nolan who took control and made a great run up the wing before finding the back of the net. The game finished up 2-0 to Joeys. Great play from Sinead Hayden, Brian McGrath, Ciaran O’Hagan and Jacob O’Brien.

St Joseph’s hosted Parkville this morning in what turned out to be a great game. Joeys started the stronger of the two and had a number of early chances. Great attacking runs up the wing soon paid off for Daniel Nolan when he found the back of the net half way through the first half leaving it 1-0 at half time. Again Joeys started strong in the second half and failed to capitalise on a number of occasions. It was the visitors who were to score the only goal of the second half from a corner kick. Great defensive play by Joeys backs ensured the game finished 1-1. Great play from Rory Guerin, Joe Walton, Daniel Giedraitis and Kalum Pawley.
