The sun shone all day on the successful inaugural St. joseph’s family fun day held last Sunday. Work began at 9.30 that morning and continued well after the last revellers had left. But there were no complaints from any of the hard working team as it was obvious what a success the day was. All teams had their activity to look after and it was nice to see the whole club pulling together. A special mention needs to go to everyone who donated books/DVDs/ and bottles, thanks for your generosity. We would also like to thank our corporate donors, Scats Bouncy Castles, Leinster Hills, The Candy Store, Alan Mannion, Fergus Doyle ,Pompeii restaurant and DJ Steve. We really appreciate those that looked after the underage blitz as the managers where tied up with other jobs. I think it’s obvious the months of hard work by the fundraising committee prior to Sunday truly paid off. It was nice to see the talent that shone through from carpenters to artists, from chefs to course designers and not forgetting our gate keeper!
Keep an eye on our fundraising thermometer for the final tally.
A weary St Joseph’s team following a great community turnout at St Josephs first ever Family Fun Day. The Photo above is missing a few key helpers on the day.
And by the way we can still see you, Pauline, trying to hide at the back.
Stay tuned in for a full report.
