St Joseph’s U11’s v Nurney

An early goal by Sinead Hayden saw St Joseph’s take the lead in a close fought encounter. The final score 3-1 to Nurney did not reflect the huge effort put in by all the St Joseph’s players. Well done.

Fun Day

The club will be holding a fun soccer marathon for all club members from Under 8 up to and including all senior teams on SUNDAY DECEMBER 18TH. Time to be announced at a later date. We are hoping for a large turnout for this fun event. Santa will arrive for all junior members of the club and tea/coffee and refreshments will be served for all participants on the day.

Social Night

We are holding a social night on SATURDAY DECEMBER 17TH at 9.00 pm in the Dolmen Hotel, Carlow. Tickets will be on sale for €5.00 from committee members and managers in the coming weeks. This social night is for parents, senior teams’ members, youth’s team and anyone else interested in attending. On the night there will be party food served and music. We are appealing to all to support this night not only as a fundraiser for the club but with regard to the social aspect also.

Christmas Carol Service

Our soccer club are holding their annual CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE on THURSDAY DECEMBER 15TH at 7.30 pm in Tinryland Parish Church. As in previous years we are appealing to all participants to bring some non-perishable goods for donation to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Carlow and cash donations for The Lourdes Invalid Fund for Tinryland Parish. We hope this year that all teams from the club from U8 to senior teams will take part and that it will be a huge success.

Match Minutes

We wish to inform parents and supporters of the club that as a fundraiser each month the club sell match minutes. Match minutes cost €5 per ticket with the winning ticket paying out €150. Managers and committee members have tickets for sale and the next match is DECEMBER 3rd Newcastle V Chelsea. Winning ticket will be paid on the minute listed in the DAILY STAR newspaper on Monday December 4th.
Please ask any manager if you wish to buy a ticket for the match mentioned as all funds raised go directly back into the club.
